Meet Our Team
Rob is a Wichita businessman and co-owner of ComfortCare Homes of Harvey County, LLC, which currently owns and operates their first Home in Newton, Kansas. He is a graduate of Trinity University and supports several Wichita non-profit organizations. Rob is married and has three children.
After looking for care for his mother in Illinois, and finding limited options, he was introduced to Doug Stark, President of ComfortCare Homes. Rob decided to bring the quality home-like care he wished for his mother to the Newton area.
Karri has been Rob’s right-hand and business partner since 1994; and co-owner of ComfortCare Homes of Harvey County, LLC. Born and raised in Kansas, she attended Wichita State University, majoring in Accounting. She has served on PTO Boards of Wichita Montessori School and The Independent School as Treasurer and President multiple years, and supports several Wichita non-profit organizations. Karri is married and has three children.

Sharon joined the ComfortCare Homes family in 2016 with a background in marketing, event planning and volunteer recruitment. She attended Wichita State University earning both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She is married and has two children, is a member of the Newton Kiwanis Club, serves as the secretary for the RSVP Advisory Council through the Department on Aging, has served on PTO boards and helps chair the St. Mary Catholic School auction.

Penny has been a licensed practical nurse 26+ years. She started as a candy-striper at the age of 14, which sparked a newfound passion to care for the elderly. She then went on to become a CNA and then a CMA. The majority of Penny’s career has been in long term care. “I’ve been an Assisted Director of Nursing, skilled nurse, infection control nurse, wound care nurse, MDS coordinator, hospice nurse, dementia charge nurse – and the list goes on.”
Penny’s passion has always been the older Resident, especially dementia care. “Even at 5 years old my mom said I loved and preferred elderly people and was definitely in my comfort zone, which makes sense now!”
Angela is a registered nurse with over 20 years of nursing experience. She is a certified dementia practitioner (CDP) who worked in a special care unit for Alzheimer’s and dementia Residents for almost ten years. Working in the nursing home, I became passionate about those suffering with dementia. “I enjoy meeting them where they are at in life and helping them overcome challenges.”
Angela graduated from Hesston College in 1995. She has worked in hospital settings, including medical surgical units. Most of her career has been in long term care. “I love interacting with my elders as they often have a lot of wisdom to offer.”
